Michelle + Dan’s Highlight Film | The Piedmont Room | Atlanta Wedding Videographer

On a foggy late December day in Atlanta, Michelle and Dan celebrated their love in front of their family, friends, and precious pup Husker, many of whom came all the way from Connecticut and some even from across the Atlantic Ocean! The Piedmont Room hosted their romantic and festive occasion, which perfectly closed out our 2018!! Our favorite part? That these two weren’t afraid to be themselves and truly enjoy their day as they’d always envisioned it!

FUN IN THE AIR

Believe it or not, foggy wedding days are something we dream about! Especially with The Piedmont Room’s huge windows overlooking Piedmont Park and Atlanta, the weather was so romantic and helped in making the day feel intimate and cozy. We also LOVED how Michelle and Dan chose pops of fuschia to complement their navy and blush color scheme. It immediately gave this early winter day a festive & lively vibe and definitely matched their fun personalities!

I LAVA YOU

“One volcano said to the other, I have a dream I hope will come true, that you’ll grow old with me and I’ll grow old with you. We thank the earth, the sea, the sky we thank too…I lava you.”

Michelle and Dan’s personal, hand-written vows were heartfelt, funny, and included the most adorable quote from a Disney Pixar short. What’s extra sweet? That Michelle asked her aunt and uncle to officiate! They did an amazing job (even though it was their first and only officiant gig up to this point), and we love how familial (along with their pup Husker walking down the aisle) it made the ceremony feel!

FIRST & LAST DANCE

Michelle and Dan opened their reception with a stunning two-song choreographed dance. Their dedication was evident–they literally didn’t miss a beat! Another lovely part of the day was instead of having a fancy exit, Michelle and Dan opted for a private last dance. With the reception hall cleared, the lights dimmed down low, and Elton John’s “Your Song” cued up and playing only for them, these two ended their wedding day clutched tight in each other’s arms and it was the sweetest thing ever!

Congrats, Michelle and Dan, filming your wedding day was the best way we could have rounded out our 2018 🙂 We hope you enjoy your Wedding Cinema Collection for years to come!

I really like the idea of a private last dance instead of an exit! To each their own but I think this is the first I’ve seen of the former happening! What a nice way to end the day.
